SC Highway Heroes

Human trafficking occurs in many forms and places, our roadways and related infrastructure serve as a potential breeding ground for trafficking to invade our communities. South Carolina’s over a hundred thousand Commercial Driver License (CDL) holders can play a pivotal role in our fight against this horrendous crime, serving as the eyes and ears on our highways.

The South Carolina State Transport Police, South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles, South Carolina Department of Highway Safety and the South Carolina Trucking Association have teamed up with South Carolina ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Alan Wilson to urge our state’s CDL holders to become a SC Highway Hero.

As part of the SC Highway Heroes initiative, more than 100,000 postcards are being mailed to CDL holders across the state with information on how to become certified in spotting and reporting trafficking. Join the movement today and help combat human trafficking in South Carolina.
