Blake Easter is a Prevention Education Program Coordinator for the South Carolina Human Trafficking Task Force. He is responsible for supporting efforts in the Upstate and Midlands areas of the state. In this role, he is responsible for successfully implementing TraffickProofSC (TPSC) in middle schools, high schools, and youth-serving groups/organizations. In collaboration with the Prevention Education team, Blake designs, implements, and evaluates TraffickProofSC and other relevant programming and outreach opportunities.聽He is also the lead on topics related to trauma and education as well as work with special populations.
Prior to joining the Task Force, Blake taught social studies and special education for nine years. He also led efforts to introduce his school鈥檚 first social-emotional learning curriculum.聽In that capacity, Blake conducted weekly lessons on self-awareness, goal setting, healthy relationships, and more. In 2023, Blake was awarded Teacher of the Year from his school leadership.
Blake is certified as a Restorative Justice Education Facilitator from RJ Ed. He holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work from the University of South Carolina Aiken and a master鈥檚 degree in Trauma-Informed Education from Columbia College.聽
